Making the Most of Meetings

Over 50% of a typical manager’s time is spent in meetings. Yet, most managers will say that meetings are unproductive, too long, and lack creativity. The ability to be highly effective in a meeting, whether as a participant or leader, is a critically valuable skill in any organization.

  • Identify and fulfill key meeting roles.
  • Manage meeting logistics such as creating agendas, starting and ending on time, and reaching decisions.
  • Balance participation in meetings so everyone contributes.
  • Encourage creativity in handling differences of views and problem solving.
  • Use specific tools to achieve greater commitment and easier implementation of decisions.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

  • Sessions are 8 hours.
