Module One: Building Trust – 2 Days

 

 

 

STEP 1. THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT:

  • Each manager completes a self-assessment of his or her own competencies.
  • The manager’s manager, four to six peers and four to six direct reports also complete the assessment on the manager. Reports are available as soon as the minimum number of responses is completed.

STEP 2. KNOW THE IMPACT OF BEHAVIOR:

  • Manage the environment, not people.
  • Understand the impact of behavior on the environment.
  • Know ones’ emotional intelligence and develop the personal and interpersonal competencies essential for success as a leader.
  • Understand personal responsibility and learn how to get employees to take ownership of their own performance.
  • Identify the Elements of Trust™ and learn four behaviors that are essential to building trust.
  • Complete DiSC® Classic, a non-judgmental learning instrument that measures behavioral style based on the DiSC® Behavioral Model.
  • Debrief the results of the Leadership Development Assessment. ™
  • Develop behavioral adaptability and learn to adapt behavior to create a work environment where employees are more engaged.
  • Understand the impact that employee expectations have on performance, commitment and job satisfaction.
  • Use the Work Expectations Profile™ to measure one’s own and employees’ expectations.
  • Use the Work Expectations Profile™ to build trust and get employees to take responsibility for their own expectations.
  • Develop Action Plans for creating a work environment that will bring out the best in team members.
  • Learn how to use the process provided to clarify employee expectations and respond appropriately.

FOLLOW UP APPLICATION

  • Administer Work Expectations Profile™ to all team members.
