When reflecting on the career turns they have taken, many people discover they did not plan to be where they are now in their careers but rather ended up there through the path of least resistance. Yet people are most satisfied and productive in jobs that match who they are as people. A great job-person match doesn’t happen by accident and is rarely found along the path of least resistance. Employers who encourage their employees to spend time exploring their career aspirations reap the benefits of the increased productivity that results from creating a good job-person fit.

 

PROGRAM FEATURES:

  • Participants explore career management in four modules Personal Assessment, Making Interviews Work, Making Your Net Work, and Creating Your Career.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND BENEFITS:

  • Assess the four key areas that determine career satisfaction: Strengths and Skills, Interests, Values, and Workplace Style.

  • Prepare for formal interviews.

  • Capitalize on often overlooked but opportunity-rich informal interviews.

  • Leverage networks to gain the critical edge in getting the job desired.

  • Explore career options to create realistic goals with direction, and focus.

  • Create an action plan.

  • Establish a personal accountability and support system.

PROGRAM FORMAT:

  • This 16 hour program may be taught in two days or in four modules over time.
  • Group size is limited to 20 -25 people.
